Houde Xu is a composer whose music explores philosophical inquiry and social issues. His chamber work Break Away from Village II was premiered by the VISE Ensemble at the Valencia International Performing Arts Festival (VIPA) in Spain in 2024, and his duo Stereotypefor saxophone and piano was performed at the Central Conservatory of Music in 2024.
